On Friday, April 1st, 2016, Student Ramsis Hijazi from the Faculty of Engineering and IT and volunteer at the International Youth Exchange Programme of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah in the 2016 Right to Education Tour to the U.S.


The tour was over two weeks from April 1st-14th, 2016 and included visits to a number of American universities where the Palestinian delegation had talks and dialogues with students and academics about “The Effect of Israeli Colonialism on the Right to Education in Palestine”.

Student Hijazi also had training on the American-Palestinian relations, cultural diversity and how to present in public events on Palestinian issues.

On this occasion, student Hijazi said that he had exchanged talks on political, cultural and social issues with other participants and added: “I was able to talk about the refugee camp where I live as I met prominent American figures and representatives of the universities’ student bodies.”

“The Right to Education Campaign is a grassroots Palestinian movement which began in 1988 in order to document, research and raise consciousness about the oppression of Palestinian students, teachers and academic institutions under Israeli military occupation.”
