The American Corner Nablus Organizes a Lecture on Modernism in Arab and American Literature

On Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016, the American Corner Nablus of the International Office in cooperation with the cultural committee at the Faculty of Humanities at An-Najah organized a lecture on modernism in Arab and American literature at the New Campus’s Library’s conference room.
Dr. Mohammad Hamdan, Lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities talked about breaking with the past and its effect on intellectuality after the world wars.
Dr. Jaber Khdair from the Arabic Language Department discussed his vision of modernism as he considers it a revolution against conformity and a form of justice and openness.

At the end, a group of the university students recited poetry from their own production.
