On Sunday, March 13th, 2016, Dr. Khaled Al-Sahli, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at An-Najah participated in the Mediterranean Engineering Schools' Network RMEI Annual Meeting in Cairo, Egypt.


The meeting was over 4 days from March 13th-16th, 2016 and aimed at strengthening mutual relations with the parenting countries and selecting a new board of administration for RMEI. It also aimed at reinforcing academic exchange and students’ training and rehabilitation among parenting universities.

The university was also elected as a member in the RMEI Board of Administration which included 10 members; the President, the Vice President and 8 members.

The meeting also included presentations by representatives on alternative energy, clean energy and green buildings.

Notes:

Since its foundation in 1997, the Réseau Méditerranéen des Ecoles d'Ingénieurs (RMEI) has sought to valorize the specific assets of the Mediterranean with the aim of enhancing its impact, by reinforcing the links between faculties, schools, universities and other partners in the Mediterranean region.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of universities from Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon, France, Italy, Greece and the Black Sea Universities Network.

Participating representatives were also given a tour to the Pyramids and the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage in Egypt.
