An-Najah Holds a Series of Events Dedicated for Hebron
The Public Relations Department at An-Najah organized a series of events on the City of Hebron that shed lights on the Palestinian city’s history, and challenging present.
The events included a seminar and open discussion with prominent representatives from Hebron Governorate, a short film on renovation work in the old city of Hebron, and a photo galley organized by Zajel Youth Exchange Programme.
Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah received the delegation from Hebron and stressed the importance of cooperation between the Palestinian cities and academic institutions. He also briefed them on An-Najah’s history, students and academic programmes.
In turn, Mr. Abdulmonem Zaheda, Director of the Public Relations Forum in Palestine thanked An-Najah for organizing the event.
The delegation was also given a tour to the New Campus and the Old City in Nablus.

- The event was also attended by Dr. Mohammad Al-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Adnan Melhem, President’s Assistant for Social Affairs and Mr. Khaled Mufleh, Acting Director of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah.
- The delegation from Hebron included Mr. Maher Meswada, Mufti of Hebron; Mr. Mazen Al-Saghir, Honorary President of the Forum and Dr. Rafeeq Ja'bari, Deputy Governor of Hebron.
- The delegation also visited the extracurricular activities exhibition of the Deanship of Students’ Affairs in the Old Campus.
- The seminar included a short documentary on projects executed in Hebron from 1996-2013 to rehabilitate some of the Old City’s buildings, the Ibrahimi Mosque and public gardens.
