This program provides students with a wide knowledge in phonetics, criticism and figurative language. Expected Graduates should be able to:
- Identify the origins of Arabic syntax by doing researches and reports on language, syntax, grammarians and syntactic resources
- Identify the Arabic literature movement from the pre- Islamic literature to the modern literature concentrating on the intellectual and philosophical issues, spotting the thematic, artistic, and aesthetic aspects of literature and linking it politically, socially and historically throughout ages
- Critically read the Arabic literature, modern and ancient, so that they will be able to write and publish researches and studies
