Sustainable Water Collaboration
An-Najah National University plays a leading role in advancing water security, conservation, and sustainable management in Palestine and beyond. Guided by its environmental vision and aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, the University combines education, scientific research, and community service to address the multifaceted challenges of water scarcity, pollution, and climate change.
Through strong partnerships at the local, national, regional, and international levels, and active collaboration with non-governmental organizations and academic institutions, An-Najah fosters innovation, strengthens policy implementation, and supports equitable access to safe and sustainable water resources.
Local and National Cooperation
An-Najah National University partners with municipalities, local councils, and national authorities to ensure access to safe and sustainable water. Its laboratories conduct regular water testing, support environmental monitoring, and promote wastewater reuse for agriculture. Through scientific research and policy guidance, the University strengthens national water strategies, enhances local capacities, and advances community awareness and sustainable practices benefiting households, farmers, and industries.
Regional Cooperation
An-Najah participates in regional networks across the Middle East and North Africa that promote shared research, knowledge exchange, and policy dialogue on sustainable water governance and transboundary resource management, contributing to regional resilience and sustainability.
Cooperation with NGOs and Civil Society
Through collaboration with NGOs and community organizations, An-Najah provides technical support, testing services, and training programs focused on wastewater treatment, safe agricultural reuse, and water conservation, empowering local communities to adopt responsible water practices.
International Cooperation
