As part of the continued medical event series, the student Medenshine team, in collaboration with the Medical Education Department and the Deanship of Student Affairs, hosts a medical awareness seminar.

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, the Medenshine student team, under the Medical Education Department at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, An-Najah National University, hosted an informative session as part of its 'Speciality Medway' series. This event, overseen under the Deanship of Student Affairs, focused on enhancing awareness of the principles of Sustainable Development Goals in quality education, good health, and well-being through direct engagement between students and professionals.

Participating in the seminar at the Faculty of Law auditorium on the new campus were Dr. Mohammed Mazouz Jaber, an orthopedic surgeon at An-Najah National University Hospital, and Mr. Eyad Aqraa, the Director of Student Affairs. Also in attendance were students from the Faculty of Medicine at An-Najah National University.

Dr. Mohammed Mazouz Jaber highlighted his educational and academic journey, from studying medicine at the university to his international endeavors before returning to work at the university hospital. He emphasized the importance of quality education, training, and staying updated in medical fields, stressing the positive impact of participation in various events on students, physicians, and public health.

Mr. Aqraa underscored the significance of resuming in-person learning and engagement, while also acknowledging the need to confront obstacles and blockades and rejecting arbitrary measures imposed on the West Bank specifically on Nablus. Amidst the relentless aggression against our people in the besieged strip of Gaza, he expressed, "At the Deanship of Student Affairs, we are committed to nurturing students' character and offering them ample opportunities for creativity, contribution, self-expression, and impactful participation.

Moreover, he thanked the administration for providing the necessary resources and facilities for executing activities, while acknowledging the significant role of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and its students in breaking barriers and raising awareness in specialized medical fields. He expressed pride in the students' active participation in local and international events, along with their numerous achievements. Student Yasmin Saadah affirmed that this gathering is part of the ongoing medical series, "Specialty Medway."

Additionally, students Qasim Salah and Mohammed Qarqesh addressed the challenges faced by medical staff in Gaza, highlighting violations and assaults by the occupying forces, in clear defiance of international human rights conventions. They cited notable cases such as the martyr Dr. Adnan Al-Bursh and the detained Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya.

The session commenced with student Mohammed Shantour's recitation of Quranic verses, culminating in a detailed discussion moderated by Dr. Mohammed Mazouz Jaber.
