In its unwavering commitment to overcoming obstacles and fostering student success, Deanship of Student Affairs has launched a series of initiatives to confront the economic challenges confronting both Palestinian society at large and university students' families in particular. These challenges have notably reduced their financial capabilities, hindering their ability to afford tuition fees in line with the objectives of sustainable development, including poverty eradication.

The implementation of these initiatives serves as a mechanism for the Deanship of Student Affairs to contribute to the alignment of its policies with Sustainable Development Goals, especially those related to poverty eradication, quality education, and gender equality. One such initiative involved the collaboration between the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Financial Department to provide a financial grant equivalent to three academic credit hours, supporting students in continuing their higher education amid economic affliction. This effort benefited about 3500 students from low-income backgrounds During the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.

Moreover, a financial support program was initiated to assist incoming students with their university enrollment costs, with approximately 1000 students from low-income families benefiting from this assistance.

As part of its semesterly initiatives, the Deanship of Student Affairs consistently facilitates student employment in select university facilities in exchange for modest financial compensation. Approximately ten students, representing both genders, benefited exceptionally from this initiative during the period from September 2023 to December 2024. This initiative aids them in meeting personal economic needs, such as housing expenses or transportation costs.
