Student Doaa Wahbi from the Teaching and Learning PhD program of An-Najah University won the Khalifa Award for Education 2020 with her co-worker, graphic designer Lina Yousef.


Student Wahba won for her project, Education for Community Development, which included a developed educational model that integrates investigation strategies, problem solving approach and cooperative education. The project included writing a book that targets the student and the teacher consisting of 20 educational lessons.

The project has been implemented in 21 schools in Palestine showing effective results in developing students' skills.

Khalifa Award for Education is an educational award founded by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

The Award aims to motivate and promote the development of the educational field within the UAE, and in the Arab world at large. It is committed to the promotion of excellence and a culture of innovation, and the celebration of distinguished skills within the educational field.

The Award includes 11 educational fields including Educational Research and Projects and Innovative Educational Programs.

It is worth mentioning that student Wehbi works as Head of the Training Department at the National Institute for Educational Training and has won the 2017 Excellence in Research Award for a co-research with Dr. Shahinaz Al-Far.
