Prof. Matar's winning was announced during the 15th Annual Arab Association of Urology Conference which took place in Dubai during the period October 31 – November 3, 2018.

Prof. Matar is an Urologist, Nephrologist and Associate Professor with a (Docent) rank recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education. He was also a Visiting Scientist at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre, one of the original three comprehensive cancer centres in the United States.

It is worth mentioning that the Council of Arab Ministers of Health has recently nominated Prof. Matar to be member of the Supreme Council of the Arab Board of Health Specializations. The nomination has been made during the 94 council session held in March, 2018.
