Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal at An-Najah Gains DOAJ Indexing
The Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal, published by An-Najah National University, has been indexed in the prestigious Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) after meeting internationally recognized academic and publishing standards.
This achievement reinforces the journal’s position as a leading Palestinian platform in medical and pharmaceutical research and reflects the University’s commitment to advancing high-quality scientific publishing and open-access principles.
University President Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid emphasized that this milestone reflects the University’s adherence to rigorous academic standards and its ongoing efforts to strengthen its global research standing.
Prof. Waleed Sweileh, Dean of Scientific Research, noted that DOAJ indexing represents a strategic step toward inclusion in advanced global databases such as Clarivate (Web of Science), further enhancing the visibility and impact of the University’s research.
With this achievement, the journal becomes the second Palestinian journal—following An-Najah University Journal for Research – A (Natural Sciences)—to receive DOAJ indexing, underscoring the University’s leadership in supporting high-quality research and expanding the global presence of Palestinian academic journals.
