The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Palestine Subsection (IEEE) has been awarded the Best Entrepreneurial Activity and Best Entrepreneurial Ambassadors among 67 ambassadors on the Middle East, Africa, and Europe level, as assessed by IEEE Region 8.

The award was received by the representatives of IEEE Palestine Subsection, An-Najah University, and its head, Dr. Mona Demaidi, along with Buthaina Quttina and Massa Qzaih, graduates of An-Najah University and ambassadors of the Global Entrepreneurship Competition in Palestine.

IEEE Palestine Subsection achieved this accomplishment after participating in the IEEE PIONEERS 2.0 competition, which was held in its second edition for the second time in a row in Palestine to compete with young entrepreneurial ideas within the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week.

The competition was held in two phases in Palestine, following a series of trainings for the participants by experts at the level of Palestine and the Arab world. A total of 17 teams from seven Palestinian universities in the West Bank and Gaza were qualified to compete at the Palestine level in front of an expert jury from the public, private, and governmental sectors. Three teams were then qualified to compete in the name of Palestine for the third stage in the world, in one of the prestigious IEEE international conferences.

IEEE Palestine Subsection's recognition is a testament to the subsection's dedication and commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in Palestine. This award is an acknowledgment of the significant efforts of IEEE Palestine Subsection and its partners in supporting the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Palestine.

"This recognition is a testament to our team's hard work, dedication, and commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in Palestine. We are honored to receive this award and proud to be recognized as the best entrepreneurial activity and best entrepreneurial ambassadors in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe," said Dr. Demaidi, Head of IEEE Palestine Subsection.

The IEEE Palestine Subsection aims to continue its efforts to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Palestine and to support young people's entrepreneurial ideas, contributing to the development of the Palestinian economy.
