An-Najah National University wins first place prize in the Palestinian Artists Contest
Nahed Abu Lawy, an instructor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, won first-place prize in the national contest that involved painting a piece of art for Yasser Arafat. The contest was launched by the Departments of Public Relations and Media for the Special Security Forces to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the death of the Yasser Arafat.
During the exhibition, Lieutenant Nidal Abu Dukhan received the participants in his office. He expressed how impressed he was with the works that were presented in the exhibition, pointing out that such artistic work embodied the character of the late leader, who had devoted his life to serve his homeland and its just cause. Lt. Abu Dukhan also praised the creative talents and confirmed that the Security Forces will continue to organize such contests as a means of encouraging talent and opportunities in Palestine.
