An-Najah National University Dominates U-TECH LEAGUE 2024 in AI
An-Najah National University has achieved a remarkable feat, clinching the top three spots in the inaugural Universities Technology League “U-TECH LEAGUE” 2024, focused on artificial intelligence. This competition, organized by Microsoft and FINOMENA, took place at Palestine Techno Park in Ramallah and saw 16 teams from various Palestinian universities compete.
The Fine-Tuned Devs team, comprising Suhaib Arafat, Amjad Kayed, and Izzat Al-Sharif, secured first place. The Pentium 4 team, with AbdulRahman Mahamda, Muhammad Zagha, and Youssef Abdel Salam, took second place, while the VIP team, made up of Muhammad al-Jundi, Ahmed Amira, and Muhammad Nasser, claimed third place.
Over three days, the competition centered on leveraging Azure services to develop innovative AI solutions, including smart chat applications. The event featured multiple competitive rounds, narrowing the field from 16 to 8 teams. Participants also attended sessions led by technology experts, gaining valuable insights and advanced techniques.
On the final day, teams showcased their innovative smart chat solutions to a panel of expert judges, culminating in an awards ceremony for the top teams.
An-Najah Innovation Park played a pivotal role in nominating, guiding, and training the students for the league, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering innovation. These efforts paid off as An-Najah students displayed exceptional creativity and skill, securing the top three positions and presenting fresh visions in technological innovation.
