H.E. Prof. Rami Hamdallah, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of An-Najah National University and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of An-Najah National University Hospital, welcomed Ms. Anne-Lise Cattin Hennin, Swiss Representative to Palestine, accompanied by Ms. Stephanie Selg, Human Security Advisor, during a visit to the University aimed at exploring the Technical Educational Support for Higher Education Students Initiative (TESI) and the TESI Studio, which was established with the support of the Representative Office of Switzerland in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.


Prof. Hamdallah welcomed the delegation and highlighted the importance of international partnerships in supporting higher education and strengthening educational continuity. He also commended the Swiss Representative Office for its valuable support of educational and development initiatives. For her part, Ms. Cattin Hennin praised the University’s efforts in developing innovative educational initiatives that support students and expand access to education.

The visit included a meeting with Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University; Prof. Abdulsalam Alkhayyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Prof. Saed Alkhayyat, Director of An-Najah Innovation Park and Director of the Grants and Projects Unit.

Ms. Cattin Hennin also toured the TESI Studio, where she was introduced to its technical capabilities and its role in producing digital educational content and supporting the continuity of learning. The visit further included a technical meeting held at An-Najah Innovation Park, attended by Prof. Saed Alkhayyat, Dr. Abdel Karim Daragmeh, Dr. Hasan Ayyoub, Ms. Fidaa Bushkar, and Ms. Summer Abu Mughli. Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of digital education, innovation, and academic development.

The visit reflects the ongoing cooperation between An-Najah National University and the Swiss Representative Office in supporting educational initiatives and advancing innovative approaches that contribute to strengthening higher education opportunities for Palestinian students.
