An-Najah Receives Delegation from Canadian Representative Office to Palestinian National Authority
On Thursday, October 14, 2021, Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, An-Najah University President hosted a delegation from the Canadian Representative Office to the Palestinian National Authority, represented by Mrs. Robin Wettlaufer to discuss possible means of mutual cooperation between the two parties in different fields.
Prof. Zaid welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of the cooperation An-Najah has with a number of academic Canadian institutions. Moreover, he briefed the delegation on An-Najah’s mission, history, facts, figures, international rankings and other academic achievements.
During the meeting, they discussed academic matters of mutual interest, especially how to enhance Memorandums of Understandings between institutions in Canada and An-Najah, with the focus on implementation rather than signing. They also emphasized on the importance of developing student and staff exchange programs.
The delegation was quite impressed with the academic and research achievements of the University and emphasized on the importance of developing cooperation in various fields.
The delegation also met with a number of An-Najah's students from different specializations to discuss several issues of concern to students.
