An-Najah Participates in a Workshop on Augmented and Virtual Reality in Education and Training
An-Najah National University represented by Eng.Mohamed Dweikat, Staff Member at An-Najah's Faculty of Engineering and IT, participated in a workshop held via Zoom platform about the use of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies of in education and training.
The workshop included the participation of more than fifty eminent academics and professionals from several local and regional universities.
It focused on exploring the roles of augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality and extended reality (AR / VR / MR / XR) in education and training, and how to effectively use their technologies in education and training.
The workshop was organized by AlJhood Joint Efforts Group for Development & Consultation JEG in Amman, Jordan, which includes eight branches in the Middle East.
It was facilitated by engineers Akram Amir Al-Zubaidi from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Abdel-Rahman Moussa from Germany, representatives of PACE Aerospace Engineering & Information Technology GmbH. PACE is a subsidiary of TXT e-solutions, an international, specialized provider of engineering software solutions supporting customers in high-tech markets in their mission- and business-critical core processes and throughout their product lifecycles.
The two facilitators talked about Pacelab WEAVR platform which is developed by PACE during 2018-2020. Pacelab WEAVR provides a comprehensive and robust extended reality platform in-house teams to create and deploy advanced training solutions. The pointed out that Pacelab WEAVR platform consists of three product modules, which together provide everything needed to implement and manage virtual training.
The workshop was concluded with discussions about different topics related to the workshop.
