An-Najah National University, in collaboration with the Nablus Directorate of Education, proudly culminated the impactful activities of the Programming and Artificial Intelligence Club for students of Nablus governorate schools. This noteworthy initiative marked its third consecutive year and spanned from June 11th, 2023, to July 26th, 2023.


The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Raed Debiy, President's Assistant for Community Affairs, and Dr. Maen Ishtaiwi, Vice President Assistant for Academic Affairs, along with Mr. Ahmed Sawalha, Director General of Education in Nablus, and dedicated staff members from the Directorate of Education. Also in attendance were Dr. Mona Haj Yahya, Rapporteur of the Coordination Committee with the Directorate of Education, and Dr. Ghadir Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Science.

In extending a warm welcome to the participating students and their families, as well as the University and Directorate of Education trainers, Dr. Ishtaiwi lauded the collaborative spirit between An-Najah University and the Directorate of Education. He underscored the University's pivotal role in championing activities and programs that nurture an innovative and creative generation, particularly those that contribute to societal development and address its evolving needs.

Mr. Sawalha emphasized the vital role of the programming club in equipping school students with novel skills that not only foster personal growth but also ensure smooth integration into the future job market.

Mr. Debiy, in his address, emphasized the robust partnership between An-Najah National University and the Directorate of Education. He highlighted the profound significance of these activities as investments in the nation's future. These initiatives, with their leadership-focused nature and involvement of the country's future architects, align closely with the University's mission to serve and uplift the local community.

Dr. Haj Yahya underscored the club's core objective, emphasizing its role in creating an interactive learning environment for participants. The club's primary aim is to develop logical thinking skills through the exploration of programming languages. In addition, the initiative enhances students' computer science prowess and modern technological acumen. These competencies contribute not only to the educational landscape but also foster innovation, logical and creative problem-solving, and an adaptability to stay abreast of scientific and technological advancements.

The ceremony concluded with a special recognition ceremony, wherein trainers and participants who dedicated their efforts to the club's activities were honored for their contributions to fostering knowledge and ingenuity.
