President of An-Najah National University (NNU) Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid welcomed Dr. Abdel Wahab Alawneh from the Life Foundation for Relief and Development (LFRD) to discuss the joint cooperation between the two parties in different fields. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Khayat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Rashid Al-Kakhn, Director of the Financial Department, and Mr. Khaled Al Husseini, Director of Public Relations (PR) at NNU on Sunday, Mar. 13, 2022.


Dr. Alawneh commended the academic and research achievements of the University locally and internationally. He also praised the University for its role in delivering quality education in light of international standards, to create a modern educational and research environment, in a manner that serves society. He also noted how that University is committed to providing professional medical services through a number of its facilities including An-Najah National University Hospital (NNUH) and its medical clinics, and the Palestinian Child Institute which deals with all categories of normal, gifted and special needs children based on scientific and global criteria.

Prof. Zaid commended LFRD’s efforts in providing humanitarian aid to people across the globe. In addition to humanitarian aid, the foundation also provided several scholarships for the University medical students. He also emphasized on the importance of developing cooperation with LFRD in medical and public health fields.
