The delegation was received by Prof. Sameer Abu-Eisheh, Professor of Civil Engineering in the University's Department of Civil Engineering, and Mr. Khaled Al-Husseini, Director of the Public Relations Department at the University.

Dr. Zaid welcomed the attendees, and commended the role of the Palestinian Traffic Police in maintaining traffic safety and efficiency on the roads. Furthermore, he talked about An-Najah’s academic achievements, international rankings, strategic plans, projects, community activities, scientific centers, and its newly accredited programs.

He also stressed that the University strives to serve and act in the public interest, and to contribute to the flourishing of civil society through creating strategic action plans that contribute to the development and improvement of the society, considering the social responsibility of the University with students, institutions, government, and the local community.

The delegation commended the academic and research achievements of the University, and emphasized on the importance of developing cooperation with the University in different fields.

The meeting included discussions about the importance of developing road safety plans and raising awareness on road traffic accidents among college students.
