Dr. Hani Farran Participates in the Fifth International Conference of the Arab Association of Civilization and Islamic Arts
Dr. Hani Farran, Director of Interior Design & TV Decoration Center at An-Najah participated in the fifth International Conference “Civilization between the cultural heritage and the modern technics”. The conference was held in Tunisia and Morocco over two days and under the auspices of the League of Arab States. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs in Tunis and UNESCO also participated in the conference. .
Furthermore, the conference goals were advancing the studies in contemporary arts and heritage. The conference aimed at highlighting the importance of applying modern technologies in studying and valuing cultural heritage. The conference focused on local heritage specifically. Also, they highlighted importance of scientific and technical coordination among specialized local and international organizations, which use the latest technologies to raise and spread awareness of the importance of protecting traditional cultural heritage.
Dr. Farran represented Palestine and An-Najah University. He presented a research paper about the role of cultural heritage in enhancing the intellectual trends of interior design.
The conference included participants from 15 countries including Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Palestine, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Morocco, Yemen, Oman, Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany and Sweden.
The research paper, presented by Dr. Farran, was published by the Journal of Architecture, Arts and Humanistic Science issued by the Arab Association of Civilization and Islamic Arts.
