"Preparation for the Job Market" Workshop
On Thursday, April 25th 2019, An-Najah University's Career and Alumni Affairs Unit organized the "Preparation for the Job Market" Workshop, which was held at the University's Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in the New Campus.
The workshop was organized for university students and fresh graduates to prepare them for the challenges involved in entering the job market.
It was facilitated by Ms. Sally Abu Ali, Founder & CEO of AMAN Human Capital, Ms. Rima Abu Al-Hassan, Head of Human Resources Department at the Bank of Jordan and Mr. Shamel Abed Al-Hadi, Branch Manager- Bank of Jordan, Nablus.
The goal of the workshop was to provide students with the tools they need to make enlightened occupational choices, gain an understanding of the job market and make a smooth transition between university and the job market.
It aimed also to improve the students' employability and life skills and develop their employment potentials.
It focused on making students aware of the dynamic and changing quality of the job market and to help them realize that there are many ways of entering it.
At the end of the workshop, students gained a relatively clear understanding of the job market, and they were able to identify its principal aspects and to envision themselves as workers.
