The trip aimed to introduce the students to Italy's culture, history, economy, public institutions and infrastructure. It also aimed to reinforce cultural exchange between An-Najah and Naples Oriental University students and introduce the students to the Renaissance art and culture and the Italian life and society. The trip was over 11days during which the students went to Rome, Napoli, Florence, Venice, Pompeii and Sorrento.

The trip included visits to the Vatican Museum, Leonardo Da Vinci Museum, the Roman Theatre (Colosseum), the Royal Palace of Napoli, the National Park and the oldest opera house in the world. The students then visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the old city of each of the above mentioned cities to learn about their economy.

During the trip, the students were trained to use the transportation system in airplanes, trains and metro stations and the navigation system in various Italian cities.
