An-Najah Receives Dr. John Morrison from the University of Louisville
On Wednesday, August 10th, 2016, the Physics Department at An-Najah received Dr. John Morrison from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Louisville in the U.S.A.
Dr. Morrison met with Dr. Ali Barakat, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and a number of staff members there to talk about his research and its latest results.
He also met with Dr. Mohammad Al-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Drs Ahmed Bassalat and Hadeel Abu Al-Rub to discuss possible means of academic cooperation between An-Najah and Louisville. They also discussed exchange programmes and scholarships to send students from the Departments of Physics and Mathematics to continue their post-graduate studies in the U.S.
Notes:
Dr. John Morrison received a BSc degree in Physics from the University of Santa Clara in California. He received a PhD degree in theoretical Physics and moved on to postdoctoral research at Argonne National Laboratory. He speaks English, Swedish and Spanish and is currently studying Arabic and Hebrew.
