The visit aimed at discussing possible means of mutual cooperation between the German University and the Arab universities in general and the Palestinians in specific.

Prof. Matoba talked about his university’s history, academic programmes and students and mentioned that the university aims at reinforcing humanitarian aspect of military education. He also expressed his interest in cooperating with An-Najah for students exchange especially in the field of languages, education and students and staff exchange programmes.

In his turn, Prof. Natsheh briefed the guest on An-Najah’s history, academic programmes and international accreditations as well as the difficulties that encounter higher education in Palestine. He also talked about An-Najah's mission to attract international interested staff and students.

After the meeting, Prof. Matoba met with a number of staff members from the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teachers' Training as well as students from various academic backgrounds to collect their views on the topic of ''Trauma and Socialisation in Palestine''; a research study he is working on. 

At the end, Prof. Matoba was given a tour to An-Najah’s Old and New Campuses and the Old City in Nablus.
