The concert included a performance by the Child Cultural Centre Choir/ Nablus Municipality and was part of the World Autism Awareness Day.

Dr. Zaher Nazzal, Director of An-Najah Child Institute mentioned that April is the autism awareness month; therefore, the institute holds annually a series of events to raise awareness on autism. He also said that the activities aim at introducing the Palestinian community to autism and reinforcing the notion of integration for autistic children.

In his turn, Dr. Adnan Melhem, Presidents’ Assistant for Social Affairs stressed the importance of psychological and social support for autistic children and their parents.

At the end of the concert, participating schools were awarded certificates for their contributions to integrating autistic children.

The concert was also attended by Engineer Sameeh Tubaila, Minister of Traffic and Transport and Chairman of the Administrative Committee of Nablus Municipality; Mr. Akram Rujoub, the Governor of Nablus and Mr. Omar Hashem, Chairman of Nablus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
