Teaching and Learning
Generally, every course has a book that includes the course material. The pure mathematics courses include proving of mathematical theorems, as well as problem solving. The educational courses depend primarily on discussions through which students arrive at the educational conventions and theories in the field.
The didactical courses depend on class discussions as well as practical applications of the learning. The same applies to the pedagogical training courses. The pedagogic training courses are taught practically, and students begin to be trained in schools starting from the second course. This practical training includes observing the training teacher and practical teaching in the classroom. This prepares the student in a practical and scientific way to be a successful future teacher.
Coursework and Assessment
Students' assessment is carried out in various ways that include theoretical as well as practical exams.
The theoretical exams include essay questions as well as multiple choice questions. These exams could be paper and pencil exams or electronic exams.
The practical exams include assignments from different types. In Mathematics Teaching Methods program, the assignments include problem solving, word problems, projects and graduation project.
