An-National University Represents Palestine at International Surgery Conference, Signs Collaboration with Tunis El Manar University
Dr. Mohammed Alahmad, Head of the Department of Specialized Surgeries at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, An-Najah National University, and Cardiac Surgeon Specialist at An-Najah National University Hospital, served as the university's delegate at the Eighth International Conference on Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery. Concurrently held with the Seventh Pan Arab Conference on Vascular Surgery and the Sixth International Conference of the “Association Tunisienne De Chirurgie Thoracique Cardiaque et Vasculaire”, the event attracted 26 international delegations from prominent European and Arab nations including Turkey, France, and Germany.
An-Najah National University uniquely represented Palestine at the conference, with Dr. Alahmad delivering three lectures on behalf of the university and the hospital. He notably addressed medical challenges in war injuries and moderated a dialogue session on the latest advancements in cardiac surgery anesthesia and resuscitation.
During this visit, An-Najah National University formalized a collaborative partnership with Tunis El Manar University and its affiliated hospitals. The agreement encompasses the exchange of expertise and medical research, alongside training opportunities for physicians and specialists. Additionally, joint undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs will be established, promoting the exchange of knowledge, research endeavors, and faculty members between the institutions.
An-Najah National University and its hospital were bestowed with recognition during the signing ceremony, graced by the presence of the President and administrative members of Tunis El Manar University, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Palestinian Embassy in Tunisia.
