In a significant development, and under the guidance of Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University, a collaborative memorandum of understanding has been formally inked with Tunis El Manar University. Represented by its President, Prof. Moez Shafra, the agreement aims to strengthen cooperative ties in academic and research domains between these esteemed institutions.


During the signing ceremony, attended by Dr. Abdulsalam Khayyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Khalil Issa, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Amjad El-Qanni, Director of the Grants and Scholarships Center, Dr. Mohammed Alahmad representing An-Najah National University in Tunisia and heading the Department of Surgical Specialties in the Department of Human Medicine, and Ms. Summer Abu Mughli, the coordinator of international relations, the agreement was finalized.

Representing Tunis El Manar University were Madame Fadila Drajee, Vice President of the University, Madame Lebna Zakraoui, Director of Academic Affairs and Scientific Partnership, Mr. Mohamed El Jouini, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Mr. Ihab El Labban, representing the Faculty of Medicine.

Prof. Zaid expressed his delight with this partnership, recognizing its potential to facilitate research and academic cooperation. He also highlighted the advanced standing of the university compared to other Arab and international universities. Additionally, he emphasized the depth of the relationship between the Tunisian and Palestinian peoples.

In response, Prof. Shafra expressed his satisfaction in collaborating with An-Najah National University, praising its academic advancements. He also commended the university's efforts in strengthening constructive partnerships and agreements with various higher education institutions both regionally and globally.

Both parties have agreed to enhance academic cooperation, streamline academic, administrative, and student exchanges, and foster research collaboration. Additionally, they aim to bolster and coordinate joint activities, including seminars, conferences, and cultural events. Both parties also commended the successful past collaboration experience, which significantly enriched the university hospital with a notable number of highly skilled specialists.
