The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching and the E-Learning Center at An-Najah National University launched a training course titled " License in Academic Education", which targets newly assigned faculty members at the University.


The workshop was attended by Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Khayat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Akram Daoud, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Saida Affouneh, President's Assistant for Digitalization and E-Learning, Dr. Mohamed Sabah, Director of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, and Mr. Mohammad Daqqa, Dean of Students' Affairs.

The training team included Dr. Majdi Dwikat, Dr. Ihab H. Alsurakji, Dr. Suhail Salha, Mr. Tamer Haddad, and Eng. Areej Abu Obeid, Mrs. Fida Bashkar, and Mr. Ahmed Nubani, as well as 40 faculty members from the University’s various faculties.

The training course has been developed in line with the strategic plan of the University, equipping trainees with the skills and capacity to lead small- and large-scale quality education programs. The University’s strategic plan includes two projects supporting enhanced capacity of ANNU faculty members as well as students, and developing the University’s e-learning system and infrastructure.

The training aimed at introducing the University newly assigned faculty members to An-Najah University’s systems, and teaching methods and assessment.

During the training course, Dr. Affouneh referred to the importance of the course in developing the capabilities and skills of the trainees which contribute to the well-being of both the University’s students and faculty in the light of technological innovations.

The course covers 4 basic themes and includes 50 training hours. It covers the different topics including the University’s laws and regulations, e-learning, modern learning and teaching strategies, and modern assessment methods used in the University.
