An-Najah's ASCE Receives Letter of Honorable Mention
An-Najah National University ASCE Student Chapter has been selected by the Committee on Student Members to receive a Letter of Honorable Mention for its outstanding activities as recorded in the 2020 Chapter annual report for the third time since its foundation. This award is given to the top third of all Student Chapters, based on their Annual Report score. The recognition noted the enthusiasm and hard work of student officers and members as well as the fine guidance from the Chapter's advisor, Prof. Sameer Abu Eisheh.
“I would like to congratulate Prof. Abu Ashieh, and the members of the University’s ASCE Student Chapter who have made an outstanding effort in raising the international profile of the Department of Civil Engineering at An-Najah National University,” said Prof. Maher Natsheh, the University’s President.
“Our chapter is honored to receive this recognition,” said Abu Eisheh. “We're incredibly proud and grateful for the effort that our chapter officers and members put toward improving An-Najah’s ASCE chapter.”
The letter was a “significant achievement,” said Dr. Samer Arandi, Dean of the University’s Faculty of Engineering. “Another achievement to be added as a chapter to our success story. This would definitely make every member of the University family proud of the chapter,” he added.
An-Najah's ASCE aims to prepare the students to enter the civil engineering profession and society specifically in professional matters, professional contacts and networking and Leadership development.
