An-Najah National University launched a green entrepreneurship training program at the Business Innovation and Technology Hub (NGate) on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. The program aims at supporting individuals and entrepreneurs who are interested in developing new green businesses in Palestine in the field of green entrepreneurship or the green economy as part of the “SWITCHMED” program funded by the European Union.


It also aims at empowering green entrepreneurs and owners of sustainable, environmentally friendly projects through a methodology developed by the Regional Activity Center for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP / RAC) through the SwitchMed program.

The training was organized by the Water and Environmental Studies Institute in partnership with NGate and in cooperation with THE Center for Continuing Education at Birzeit University under the supervision of a group of certified trainers in the field of green leadership including Dr. Muhammad Najjar from An-Najah University, and Mr. Amjad Al-Masry from Palestine Technical University Kadoorie.

The program included the participation of 32 students and graduates. It is worth mentioning that the training will be held every Tuesday over five weeks. The program will include trainings on developing the participants’ business models into real green entrepreneurial projects.
