Under the supervision of An-Najah Business Innovation and Partnership Center (NaBIC), the Hult Prize Group at An-Najah University concluded the activities of the Hult Prize Introductory Exhibition. The exhibition aimed to introduce the University students to the Hult Prize and the application process.
The exhibition was launched by Mr. Eyad Al-Aqra, Director of Students' Affairs at the University. Mr. Aqra said the Deanship of Student Affairs is going to work hand in hand with An-Najah Business Innovation and Partnership Center (entrepreneurship hub) to promote the social entrepreneurship among the University students.
Mr. Thabet Raddad, Representative of NaBIC's Director pointed out that An-Najah Business Innovation and Partnership Center aims to promote a culture of innovation as well as social entrepreneurship among university students. He added:" The Center will ensure that the necessary conditions are provided for students to participate in the Hult Prize On Campus program. This program aims to prepare and allow students to compete with their startups internationally throughout a journey that allows them to gain funds along the way so they can maximize the impact of their startups".
The two-day exhibition included ice-breakers activities and games, and booths through which the students were given an overview of the Hult Prize.
The Hult Prize is a global social entrepreneurship competition tapping into student innovation to solve its most pressing issues. Each year, it challenges students from all over the world to work in teams and create social enterprises focused on finding a solution to one of these issues. These teams will eventually compete against each other for a chance to win US$1 million in start-up funding.
It aspires to promote entrepreneurship and enable students to use it in solving global challenges. Also, the Hult Prize aims to provide life changing education about entrepreneurship and transformative experiences for the on-campus students, and to provide trainings and workshops for the students about the entrepreneurship and to help them adapt it in their lives so everyone can be able to pitch their for-good and for-profit startup ideas in a final competition by the end of the program fuelled with social responsibility; ideas that might be launched in the future to create a great impact.
