The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching at An-Najah National University, concluded a training program about the 21st century skills on Thursday, March 3, 2022.


The training program was designed for the University’s academic staff with the aim of developing and deepening their professional and general competences, to use innovative teaching tools and techniques as well as facilitate classroom management, work better in a mixed ability classroom, and increase their students’ motivation.

It was designed for 21st century classroom where teachers have the increasing need to develop crucial skills of the 21st century such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication.

During the training program, the participants got involved in many practical activities to design lessons with task-based learning, and project-based learning. 

The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdulsalam Alkaiyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Abdel Karim Daragmeh, Dean of Humanities Faculty, Dr. Mohammad Sabbah, Director of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, and Ms. Fida Bushkar, Coordinator of the Center. 

Ms. Bushkar noted that the training program covered several topics including Competency-Based Education, Project Based Teaching, and Problem Solving Education.
