The Hackthon which was held at the buildings of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and the Faculty of Science, included the participation of nearly 500 university students across many disciplines.

The conclusion ceremony took place at the Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Theater, and was attended by Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, University President, Eng. Mohammed Daqqa, Dean of Students' Affairs, Mr. Iyad Al-Aqraa, Director of Student Affairs, student Shukri Al-Bitar, President of AIN, a number of the University’s academic staff, representatives of the hackathon’s sponsors, members and ambassadors of AIN, participating students and their families.

The closing ceremony included a presentation on the 24-hour hackathon’s activities and challenges, a video about AIN, and speeches by a number of the attendees. It also included the announcement of the winning teams of the hackathon.

The participating teams got together for a short period of time and collaborate on a project. They worked rapidly to achieve their task, as the event only lasted 24 hours.

AIN offered the winners different prizes, including cash and in-kind contributions, employment and paid training opportunities, and scholarships.
