An-Najah University, in collaboration with the Career and Alumni Affairs Unit, the Practical Training Center, and Development Alternatives, Inc (DAI), successfully organized a highly anticipated employment day for graduates and students nearing graduation. The event witnessed the participation of 80 esteemed local companies, aiming to bridge the gap between the academic and professional realms by offering invaluable job interview opportunities and fostering a deeper understanding of the skills and competencies required in today's labor market.

The recruitment day, held on 21 June, 2023, provided an exceptional platform for graduates to engage in face-to-face discussions with company representatives, enabling them to showcase their unique talents and aptitudes. Additionally, it offered a remarkable occasion for companies to connect directly with potential candidates, hand-picking individuals who align with their organizational values. Furthermore, this event played a pivotal role in introducing attendees to an array of paid and completed training opportunities, culminating in promising career prospects. This was particularly exemplified by the involvement of information technology companies engaged in the highly esteemed TechStart project, initiated and overseen by Development Alternatives, Inc (DAI).

The opening ceremony, graced by the presence of Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of An-Najah University, exemplified the University's commitment to fostering fruitful collaborations and fortifying the ties between academia and industry. He further lauded the University's graduates for their exceptional practical skills, extensive experience, and proven competencies, demonstrated through their outstanding contributions to both local and international organizations in various domains, including engineering, information technology, medicine, and other specialized fields.

In an effort to foster enhanced communication and mutual cooperation, Dr. Muhannad Haj Hussein, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, and Mrs. Rania Jaber, General Director of the Tech Innovation Center and Entrepreneurship, and representative of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology, convened a meeting to discuss the TechStart project. The project, aimed at empowering and enhancing the skills of information technology students and graduates in Palestine, provides unparalleled training opportunities that have the potential to lead to employment for upcoming graduates and individuals from diverse information technology and computer engineering backgrounds. The productive meeting yielded fruitful discussions on how An-Najah University can leverage the TechStart project to benefit its students over the next five years.

Key attendees at the meeting included Dr. Maher Abu Zant, Director of the Administrative Monitoring Department; Mr. Imad Al-Qasim, Director of the Practical Training Center; Dr. Mohammed Sabbah, Director of the Continuing Education Unit; Mr. Alaa Abu Dheir, Coordinator of the Career and Alumni Affairs Unit, and esteemed faculty members from various information technology and computer engineering departments.

The event allowed graduates to showcase their unique capabilities and talents, while simultaneously providing companies with an opportunity to present their projects and operational frameworks.
