An-Najah University and the Palestinian and Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants engaged in productive discussions aimed at enhancing joint cooperation for the betterment of the educational process and the advancement of university students and alumni.


The meeting took place on Monday, June 19, 2023, at An-Najah University, where a delegation from the Palestinian and Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants, led by Mr. Imad Abu Haltam, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants, was received by Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of the University. 

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Saed Al-Koni, Vice President for Administrative Affairs at An-Najah, Dr. Raafat Al-Jallad, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Prof. Bashar Fattouh, Lecturer at the University and Secretary of the Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accountants, and Dr. Moez Abu Alia, Lecturer in the Accounting Department at the University.

Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid underscored the pivotal role of the Palestinian and Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants in institutionalizing and advancing the accounting profession at all levels. He expressed his satisfaction with the University's notable achievements in international rankings despite facing various challenges. Mr. Abu Haltam commended the strong ties between the Palestinian and Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants and An-Najah National University. He emphasized the association's unwavering commitment to forging partnerships with universities to ensure the accounting profession remains aligned with global developments. Additionally, he highlighted their dedication to enhancing financial and accounting practices in the labor market.

During the meeting, the participants delved into areas of cooperation pertaining to accounting, auditing, and related matters. Both parties reached a consensus to conduct further extensive meetings with the aim of crystallizing ideas and developing various programs to serve accounting students at the University and advance the auditing profession in Palestine.
