The event was attended by Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Khayyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Maan Shteiwi, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs for scientific faculties, Dr. Heba Al-Fares, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Mr. Azzam Al-Tamimi, Director General of Haj Nimr Tamimi Company, heads of departments, and a number of the Faculty of Agriculture academic and administrative staff.

During the ceremony, Dr. Al-Khayyat conveyed the University's deep appreciation for the generous donation, which reinforces the partnership between local community institutions. He also underscored the University's global standing, despite facing numerous challenges, and emphasized its commitment to staying abreast of scientific advancements across various fields.

Mr. Al-Tamimi stressed the significance of investing in young individuals and establishing a supportive scientific atmosphere for them. He also mentioned the importance of developing an educated academic community characterized by patriotism and altruism. 

Moreover, he highlighted the current status of agricultural education worldwide and emphasized the need to equip aspiring agricultural engineers with scientific and technical knowledge, and skills that enable them to enhance the agricultural, plant and animal sectors.

Dr. Al-Fares commended the Haj Nimer Al-Tamimi Company for their invaluable support to the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine’s students. She emphasized the criticality of collective endeavors toward enhancing the agricultural sector.

This scholarship has been established based on Professor Al-Tamimi's belief in the significance of providing scholarships to students pursuing agricultural studies. It is noteworthy that Al-Tamimi holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture and Soil Science, which further solidifies his unwavering commitment to the advancement of the field.

The ceremony also included a special tribute to Abrar Zakarneh, who has emerged as the top-performing student at the Faculty of Agriculture with an outstanding grade point average (GPA) of 4.
