The delegation was received by the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Khayyat as well as the Office of International Development and External Affairs (IDEA), the Public Relations Office, and a number of academic staff members with overlapping areas of expertise and interest.

Made up of 13 professors from U.S. universities, the visit started with meetings between An-Najah faculty to explore areas of potential academic collaboration in research, student and faculty virtual and in-person exchanges, and virtual joint programming. The areas of expertise of both the U.S. and An Najah professors included anthropology, linguistics, human rights, counseling, psychology, cultural studies, English literature, education, political science, gender, and architecture.

The delegation concluded their visit with a tour of the New Campus where they visited the Library, An-Najah Centenary Museum, and the Faculties of Fine Arts, and Law to learn more about the University's facilitates, services and infrastructure.

The Palestinian American Research Center hosts annual Faculty Development Seminars with An Najah, with the last one taking place in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic.
