The Palestinian Environmental Friends Association under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs at An-Najah University launched the activities of the 4th Environment Week titled: "Windows to the Wild".

The Environment Week is a week long program of environmentally-themed community activities held in March to coincide with the Palestinian Environment Day on March 5.

The event organizers aim to deliver activities that are family oriented, informative and encourage community participation. They also aim to raise university students' awareness about environmental protection and introduce them to biodiversity in Palestine.

The week activities started with a photo gallery that included photos taken by the wildlife photographer and Head of the Urban Planning Department at An-Najah University Dr. Imad Dawwas.

The showcased photos included 80 species of resident and migratory landbirds and other wild animals such as the Palestinian mountain deer, the Egyptian mongoose and the red fox.
