An-Najah Professor Gives a Lecture at the Richardson Institute

At the invitation of the Richardson Institute, Dr. Sanaa Al-Sarghali, staff member at the Faculty of Law at An-Najah has recently given a lecture on Gender Sensitive Constitutions at the institute.
The lecture targeted doctoral students from the law and politics departments at the institute, as well as specialized professors in Middle Eastern studies.
The lecture shed light on the Tunisian constitution assessment as Tunis is a country that went through political and constitutional changes leading to the establishment of the most democratic constitution in the Arab world, especially after the Tunisian president speech in August 2017 in which he called for full equality between men and women.
The lecture's topics included an introduction to the concept of gendering constitutional design and democratic constitutions and the difference between the two concepts. The lecture also discussed the Tunisian experience in details.
Dr. Simon Mabon, Director of the Richardson Institute stressed the importance of the cooperation between the institute and An-Najah's Faculty of Law.
