Mission

The program's mission is to provide students with knowledge and skills, strengthen their ability to understand and analyze refugee issues and develop solutions to their problems. The program's mission goes beyond the local national dimension to the regional and international dimensions, as the refugee problem is not linked to a specific place and time, but has a global character and renewed permanence. The human dimension is the main starting point for the launch of this program in addition to the scientific and research outputs that we seek to achieve, which also allows and calls for fruitful cooperation and concerted efforts with various local, regional, and international actors interested in migration and refugee issues. In the end, we will seek through this pioneering program to create a state of awareness among educated university youth about the issue of Palestinian refugees so that they can also, in a scientific and systematic way through targeted theoretical study and writing advanced scientific research, to defend this just cause and convey this collective memory through successive Palestinian generations, especially since in the Palestinian case we do not rely much on the oral narrative because only about 3% of the Nakba generation is alive; we must look for other ways to transmit this collective memory. Consequently, the most important and most influential at present are advanced scientific programs and scientific research that will make us more knowledgeable and closer to the international community and international institutions active in this regard.
