This program is designed for students who wish to earn M.Sc. degree in Chemistry. This program serves as a stepping stone to jobs in industry, graduate school, professional school, teaching careers, or for those who would like to strengthen their chemistry knowledge.
The student can select one of four main areas of research interest in the Laboratory. Analytical, Physical, Organic or Inorganic, depending on his/her interest.
The student may choose either the Thesis Track or the Comprehensive Exam Track. The student is granted a Master Degree in Chemistry after the successful completion of the following requirements:
Thesis Track
- Finishing pre-requisite courses determined by the Department.
- Completing at least a total 36 credit hours with grade point average of not less than 2.5 (75%).
Comprehensive Examination Track
- Finishing pre-requisite courses determined by the Department.
- Completing a total of 36 credit hours with grade point average of not less than 2.5 (75%).
