An-Najah National University stood in the global spotlight as it actively participated in the esteemed Arab-Turkish Universities Conference, concurrent with the Euro-Asian Universities Summit Conference 2024. The event took place at Istanbul Aydin University in Turkey, and Prof. Saed Khayat, Director of Scientific Centers, represented An-Najah University.


During these conferences, Prof. Khayat engaged in fruitful discussions with numerous Turkish and international university presidents, as well as key figures such as the President and members of the Turkish Higher Education Council. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, expressed full solidarity with Palestinian universities, particularly those in the Gaza Strip, in light of the challenges posed by attacks on higher education in Palestine affecting infrastructure, academic staff, and students.

An-Najah University showcased its achievements and initiatives through an informative booth at the Euro-Asian Universities Exhibition, which was part of the conference activities.

Prof. Khayat, on behalf of President Prof. Abdel Nasser Zeid, met and honored His Excellency Prof. Errol Ozvar, President of the Turkish Higher Education Council. This meeting took place during Prof. Ozvar and Dr. Mustafa Aydin, President of Istanbul Aydin University, visiting An-Najah National University's booth at the exhibition. They expressed their appreciation for the representation of Palestine through the international presence of Palestinian universities at the event, commended the steadfastness of Palestinian universities, and conveyed solidarity with the challenges faced amid occupation attacks.

Furthermore, Prof. Khayat held discussions with the Director of the UNIMED - Mediterranean Universities Union, addressing various cooperation matters.

An-Najah University solidified its international collaborations by signing agreements with Istanbul Aydin University, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, an Indonesian university, the University of Faisalabad, and Cyprus Science University. Additional agreements are in the pipeline, focusing on joint programs, scientific research initiatives, and student exchange programs.
