In a momentous ceremony graced by the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Assem Salem, An-Najah National University, under the leadership of its President, Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, formalized a pivotal cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Transport and Communications.


Prominent Attendees at the Signing Ceremony included Dr. Saed Khayat, Director of Scientific Centers, Dr. Amer Massad, Dean of Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology, Mr. Rashid Al-Khukhun, Director of Finance at the University, Mr. Ahmed Al-Sarghali, President's Advisor for Public Relations and Marketing Communications (MARCOM), Mr. Abdelmunim Dwaikat, Director of Technical Centers, and Mr. Alaa Darwish, Head of An-Najah Center for Training and Rehabilitation. Representing the Ministry of Transport and Communications were Eng. Bilal Al-Aza’r, Director-General of the Minister's Office, Mr. Yahya Akoubah, Director General of the General Administration for Vehicle and Spare Parts Trading, and his deputy, Mr. Ziad Al-Atabeh.

Prof. Zaid warmly welcomed His Excellency the Minister, acknowledging the robust collaborative ties between the university and the ministry. He emphasized that this partnership is a strategic continuation of joint efforts aimed at providing top-notch technical services related to vehicles for both the ministry and citizens. Prof. Zaid added that this initiative aligns with the university's vision of community service, complementing its core mission of education.

His Excellency the Minister commended the university's dedication to education and national service, expressing appreciation for the agreement. He highlighted that granting the university a license as a maintenance and training center for electric and hybrid vehicles reflects the institution's high standards, particularly within Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology, showcasing its proficient competencies in this field. The Minister emphasized the ongoing collaboration between the ministry and the university, fostering knowledge exchange and experience sharing in technical centers and beyond.

The agreement is geared towards conferring upon An-Najah National University the license to operate as a maintenance and training center for electric and hybrid vehicles. Its overarching goal is to bolster joint cooperation, positively impacting the transportation sector at large, and fostering the growth of the electric and hybrid vehicle industry. The collaboration also includes the accreditation of training courses aimed at qualifying technicians specialized in maintaining electric and hybrid vehicles.
