Sustainable Waste Management
An-Najah National University is committed to fostering a sustainable and environmentally responsible campus through comprehensive waste management initiatives. Guided by its sustainability vision and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production), the University continuously works to minimize waste generation, promote recycling, and encourage responsible consumption across all campuses.
Through systematic waste measurement, source segregation, and innovative recycling and reuse programs, An-Najah ensures that waste is treated not as a burden but as a resource. Specialized collection stations, composting facilities, and awareness campaigns engage students, staff, and the community in reducing landfill waste and advancing a circular economy.
