Sustainable Food Security Program

At An-Najah National University, sustainable food security stands as a foundation of health, equity, and environmental stewardship. The University is committed to ensuring that every student and staff member has access to safe, nutritious, and affordable food that supports well-being, learning, and personal growth.

In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production—An-Najah is developing a campus food system that nourishes people while protecting the planet. Through comprehensive policies, innovative programs, and strong partnerships, the University advances food security, ethical sourcing, and sustainable agriculture, while promoting awareness of healthy and responsible eating habits.

Each initiative reflects An-Najah’s deep commitment to social responsibility and sustainability, ensuring that no member of its community faces hunger or malnutrition. By embedding sustainability into campus life, the University is cultivating a culture of care, inclusion, and environmental awareness—paving the way toward a healthier, more resilient, and hunger-free future for all.
