Sustainability Office

The Sustainability Office at An-Najah National University (ANNU) serves as the central hub for promoting, coordinating, and advancing sustainable development across the university’s operations, academics, research, and community engagement. Established under the Sustainability Steering Committee and reporting directly to the University President, the office reflects ANNU’s institutional commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the three core pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic.
The office leads efforts to embed sustainability in all aspects of campus life and university governance, ensuring that ANNU remains a model for higher education institutions in sustainability leadership both locally and globally.
“Our mission is to mobilize, challenge and facilitate students, staff and stakeholders to collectively transform An-Najah National University into an example for other organizations when it comes to sustainability”
The Steering Committee is composed of senior experts and faculty representatives from diverse disciplines. It provides strategic oversight, policy direction, and governance to ensure alignment with national and international sustainability standards.
