Carbon Emissions Reporting
As part of its Pathway to Net Zero 2028, An-Najah National University conducts annual greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments in full alignment with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, covering Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
In 2025, the University achieved a 93.4% reduction in total emissions compared to its 2019 baseline. Scope 2 emissions remain at zero due to full reliance on renewable electricity, with 3,820,168 kWh generated—exceeding total campus demand.
This measurable progress reflects ANNU’s sustained commitment to renewable energy, operational efficiency, and responsible resource management, reinforcing its position as a regional leader in climate action and sustainable development on track to achieve Net Zero by 2028.
