An-Najah National University’s Deanship of Students’ Affairs organized an online student-guidance meeting for twelfth-grade students Wednesday, 24th June, 2021, in coordination with the Activities and Guidance Unit at Collège des Frères, which is located in Beit Hanina, Jerusalem.


Mr. Mohammad Daqqa, Dean of Students’ Affairs, welcomed the participants (32 students) and pointed out that despite the ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in addition to the political situation in Palestine, the University is willing to reach all schools and give them a clear overview of the University’s faculties, facilities, labs and academic programs to help them make their study choices. ‎

Represented the University Mr. Khaled Husseini, Director of the Public Relations Department; Dr. Khaleel Issa, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences; Dr. Samer Al-Arandi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology; Ms. Lama Odeh, Representative of the Deanship of Registration and Admission; Ms. Faten Ghazi Abu-Zarour, Representative of the Deanship of Students’ Affairs.

Mr. Husseini screened a number of videos to establish a comprehensive overview of the University's history, faculties, academic ‎programs, admission procedures and requirements and scholarships‎.

From his side, Dr. Issa highlighted the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences’ advantages in terms of its teaching staff’s scientific competency and students’ research excellence. He also emphasized on the hands-on training at the University’s educational hospital, as well students’ distinguished results in the local and international licensing exams.

Dr. Al-Arandi outlined the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology's learning strategies, explaining that they are not exclusive to the academic courses and scientific research. Yet, they extend to include extracurricular activities organized by global students’ scientific associations.

The meeting concluded with Q&A and an evaluation discussion.
